Slavery Trails is a musically interactive site-specific augmented reality (AR) installation series based on slave ships and enslaved people, placed on historical sites throughout the United States. Slavery Trails is a decentralized memorial to slavery in the United States.

Marcus Brown’s sound paintings that are created with his inventive process of using sound producing brushes and surfaces. These works are experienced in combination with augmented reality (AR).

Marcus Brown's Performances use multi-media and music in several ways.  His Electro-Sonic Painting is an electronic musical form of painting or mark making. This process is performed with specialized sound producing paint brushes, canvases, surfaces and/or tools to create a work of art.  Using this process Brown also performs with other artist and musicians.
