HUMS II (Human Universal Musical Sculpture)

HUMS II  (Human Universal Musical Sculpture) an interactive sound sculpture uses your human electricity to tigger sounds. The concept and science that connects all humans regardless of gender, race and class. The HUMS II proximity technology uses our body’s electrical conductIve properties to trigger sounds created by musical artists from the region. The purpose of the HUMS II sculpture is to connect through play and fun interaction.  To create sound the place center of your palm one to four inches away from the silver metal areas. HUMS history in New Orleans


HUMS (Human Universal Musical Sculpture) was originally commissioned by the Joan Mitchell Foundation and the Arts Council of New Orleans: ”Art in Public Places” Commission in correlation with Prospect I International Biennial in New Orleans in 2008. 

Now it will live again in a with the same goal of revitalizing a community.
