Ed Brown photography

Ed Brown


Ed Brown is a self-taught New Orleans Photographer who has been working in the New Orleans area for over 35 years.  Born and raised in New Orleans, Brown’s work is heavily influence by New Orleans culture and daily life.  Brown worked as a telephone technician for 35 years as well as a musician driver for The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage festival 30 years and the essence festival for 10 years.  His work has shown at the New Orleans Museum of Art, Amistad Research Center and the New Orleans African Museum of Art, History and Culture. He won the prestigious Under Exposed competition at the New Orleans Museum of Art.  Some of his works are in the Amistad Research Center at Tulane University and New Orleans African Museum of Art, History and Culture collection.
