Movements in Colours II New Orleans

Movements In Colours II is an interactive exhibit combining the works of New Orleans artist Marcus Brown and Polish artist/musician Dr. Marek Batorski, with music by Waldemar Gołębski. Dr. Batorski and Gołębski presented the first MOVEMENT IN COLORS exhibition at Galeria Związku Polskich Artystów Plastyków Pryzmat (ZPAP) in Kraków, Poland. Brown's series of augmented reality (AR) musical paintings will be presented in the COLOR 2022 exhibition at the Czong Institute for Contemporary Art (CICA) in September 2022.

Wystawa MOVEMENT IN COLOURS, prezentuje 20 obrazów olejnych dr hab. Marka Batorskiego na płótnie. Na wernisażu dopełnieniem wystawy był projekt audiowizualny wykonywany na instrumenty elektroniczne (Waldemar Gołębski) i saksofon (Marek Batorski). Projekt składa się z 4 części i zakłada strukturalne zintegrowanie obrazu i dźwięku przez stworzenie intermodalnego kontrapunktu poprzez proces współzależnego rozwoju i formowania wielopoziomowych połączeń. Bariera pomiędzy jednym a drugim medium będzie widoczna poprzez wprowadzenie dźwięku i obrazu w ruch: ekspresyjny, o jasnym określonym kierunku.Ruch, zmiana, faktura, rytm, barwa, interwał  określą wspólny mianownik dla tych dwóch elementów dziedzin sztuki, mówią o  silnym powiązaniu intermedialnym na pewnym poziomie formalnym.

The exhibition MOVEMENT IN COLOURS, presents 20 oil paintings by Marek Batorski on canvas. At the vernissage the exhibition was complemented by an audiovisual project performed for electronic instruments (Waldemar Golebski) and saxophone (Marek Batorski). The project consists of 4 parts and assumes a structural integration of image and sound by creating an intermodal counterpoint through a process of interdependent development and formation of multi-level connections. The barrier between one medium and the other will be visible through the introduction of sound and image into movement: expressive, with a clear defined direction.Movement, change, texture, rhythm, timbre, interval will define the common denominator for these two elements of art fields, speak of a strong intermedial connection on a certain formal level.
